HackNotts 2016 followed on from HackNotts 2015 and saw 17 final submissions over the 24 hour development period.

The project plan was to create an homage to a recently airing anime named Re-Zero that featured a fantasy setting and lots of time travel. We used Java as it was a common language between all members of the group.

Sadly, the project was too ambitious for the four of us to complete entirely in the 24 hours given but the main gameplay element, the rewind feature, was present in the final submission and the game was playable with the goal to reach the end of the level with as high a sanity as possible.

Programming the rewind feature was the primary reason for the delays as the specific implementation of the feature was not planned before the event and as such had many bugs that needed to be fixed before final submission.
