HackNotts is a 24 hour Hackathon competition held at The University of Nottingham every year. There were 26 final submissions a the end of the event, including a project built by myself and a friend Zane.
Our goal for this HackNotts was to learn C++ from scratch in two weeks before the competition and then use it for our submission. Thankfully two weeks was enough and we managed to implement a basic engine utilising OpenGL and SDL to render our simple top down shoot-em-up.
The Judges were very impressed with the submission and we won best project overall.
